Barcelona will ask Samuel Umtiti to leave the club during talks with the Frenchman later this month, according to a report.

Barcelona will reportedly ask Samuel Umtiti to leave the club in January during talks later this month.

The World Cup winner fell out of favour under Ronald Koeman at Camp Nou and has not played a single minute of football for the Blaugrana this term.

Umtiti was strongly linked with a move away in the summer before ultimately staying put, and his existing deal with Barca is due to expire in 2023.

According to Sport, Barca will once again sit down with Umtiti in November, and the Blaugrana will once again ask him to seek pastures new over the winter.

The report adds that clubs in England, France and Turkey could offer Umtiti an escape route, and proposals for a winter transfer are already being submitted.

Umtiti boasts two goals from 132 appearances for Barcelona in all tournaments and has won two La Liga titles and three Copa del Reys with the Catalan giants.
