According to Inside Spanish Football, current Celta Vigo boss Luis Enrique, who is expected to replace Gerardo Martino at Barcelona this summer, has informed the Catalan outfit to submit an official offer before he arrives.
Barca have also been strongly linked with a move for Chelsea's David Luiz as they prepare to re-shape their defence.
On the field, the current Spanish champions face Atletico Madrid in La Liga later this afternoon needing three points to retain the title.
