Half-Time Report: Bayer Leverkusen frustrated by Monaco

Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco's Champions League Group C encounter remains goalless at half time.

Bayer Leverkusen have dominated the first half of their Champions League Group C clash with Monaco but have been unable to find a way past Danijel Subasic.

The German side nearly took the lead inside the opening two minutes when Stefan Kiessling picked out Hakan Calhanoglu inside the Monaco box, but the Turkish midfielder's deflected strike was saved by Subasic.

Gonzalo Castro fired narrowly wide from the edge of the box before Calhanoglu's curling free kick tested Subasic as the home side dominated proceedings.

Lars Bender then sent an effort crashing against the bar after Monaco failed to clear a corner and Calhanogul headed wide from Son Heung-min's cross, but the hosts have so far failed to find a breakthrough.
