Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira "happy" with draw against Bayern Munich

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is "happy" with his side's 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich despite admitting that it will now be "very difficult" to reach the quarters.

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has said that his side are "happy" to have come away with a draw from the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Bayern Munich.

The hosts found themselves two goals down on the hour mark in Turin, but launched a comeback in the final 30 minutes as goals from Paulo Dybala and Stefano Sturaro handed them a lifeline.

Khedira admits that it will be "very difficult" to progress to the quarter-finals having conceded two away goals, but insists that his side can win at the Allianz Arena on March 16.

"After 60 minutes I think it will be a good result for us. Definitely the first half was not good enough for us, but in the second half we came back like a big team. We're happy with the draw," he told BT Sport.

"This is the Champions League and these are the big games. I think we saw today two big teams. Bayern Munich are a fantastic team, but in the second half we made a big game. It was a nice game for the players, but also for the supporters.

"We have to win [at the Allianz Arena] to go into the next round. It will be very difficult but nothing is impossible. We saw today at 0-2 against this big team, it's not easy. It's possible to go into the next round, but it will be very difficult."

Bayern have won all 15 of their home matches across all competitions so far this season.
