Pep Guardiola: 'Arjen Robben getting closer to comeback from injury'

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says that influential winger Arjen Robben is approaching the final stages of his recovery from injury.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that winger Arjen Robben is edging his way back to fitness, but does not know whether he will be available in time to take part in Sunday's Der Klassiker.

The Dutch international has not featured for Bayern since picking up a thigh injury on international duty at the start of September, but Guardiola has now revealed that the player is making his way through the final part of his rehabilitation.

"Robben has not yet trained with the squad. Of course, I will have to look at his situation," Guardiola told a press conference, according to FourFourTwo.com.

"But he is approaching the final stages of his recovery process. I do not know whether he will make it in time for Sunday's game, though."

Bayern currently hold top spot in the Bundesliga table, following seven wins from seven games this term.
