Heiko Westermann: Bayern Munich in "different league"

Heiko Westermann admits that Bayern Munich are far too strong for the other teams in Germany.

Hamburger SV defender Heiko Westermann has admitted that Bayern Munich are far too strong for most other teams following their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of the Bavarians on Wednesday night.

Westermann said that he thought Hamburg defended reasonably well until Bayern scored two, from which point he felt that his team capitulated.

"I think we defended well for the first half-hour, but we've conceded two silly goals," Bayern's official website quotes Westermann as saying.

"Bayern were totally superior after going two goals up, they're in a different league. These are tough times for everyone at the club, but we have to fight back as a team."

Hamburg coach Bert van Marwijk has been strongly tipped to lose his job in the coming days.
