Team News: Philipp Lahm earns rest for Bayern Munich

Philipp Lahm is one of a number of players rested on the bench for Bayern Munich's home game against Hoffenheim.

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has been dropped to the bench for the home clash with Hoffenheim after he helped his side to the Bundesliga title with seven games to spare.

In his absence Bastian Schweinsteiger will play the anchor role in midfield, while there are starts for several fringe players including Daniel van Buyten, Diego Contento, Xherdan Shaqiri and Claudio Pizarro.

For Hoffenheim there is a start in goal for Jens Grahl, while Anthony Modeste continues to lead the line ahead of the likes of Kevin Volland and Sejad Salihovic.
