Birmingham City 0-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers play out a 0-0 draw and will meet again at Molineux to determine a winner.

Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers will have to do it all again following their 0-0 draw in their round three FA Cup clash at St Andrews this afternoon.

Chances were few and far between during the Midlands derby, with the only opportunity of note during the opening 45 minutes falling to Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. However, his toe-poked shot was easily held by Blues goalkeeper Colin Doyle.

The half's main talking point was an injury to former City defender Roger Johnson. The Wolves captain landed awkwardly on his ankle following an aerial contest with Adam Rooney and was forced to limp off.

Ebanks-Blake had the game's next chance with 58 minutes on the clock. Winger Michael Kightly drilled in a cross from the right, but with time and space Ebanks-Blake shot over from 12 yards out.

In a rare venture forward, Birmingham's best chance went to Rooney, who volleyed straight at Dorus De Vries after young midfielder Nathan Redmond's initial effort had been blocked.

As the match entered stoppage time, 17-year-old Redmond collected a poor clearance from Richard Stearman but his instant shot was palmed away by De Vries.

There was still time for Wolves to create one more effort, with substitute Matt Jarvis seeing his curling effort tipped onto the post by Doyle, who then got up to deny Steven Fletcher from close range to secure his side a replay at Molineux.
