Steve Kean slams protesting Blackburn fans after a 'Steve Kean Out' banner is flown above Ewood Park.

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean has slammed protesting fans after a 'Steve Kean Out' banner was flown above Ewood Park during their Premier League clash with Chelsea this weekend.

A group of fans also staged a sit-in protest after the 1-0 loss to the Blues.

Kean, who claims to have the full support of Rovers owners Venky's, says that his players are growing tired of the protests.

"I didn't see the plane and I don't know what it said," said Kean. "This has been going on for a while and all we can do is accept it's likely to be a part of match days.

"The players are probably becoming a bit disappointed with it all because they are putting so much effort into trying to win games and I don't think any fan inside the ground could possibly say we didn't deserve something out of this game.

"If we weren't playing well or working hard, then OK. But we are, and the players aren't enjoying the negativity. We are all solid as a group, though.

Blackburn are currently 19th in the Premier League table with six points from 11 games.
