Officials from Blackburn Rovers will reportedly hold discussions with Harry Redknapp regarding their managerial vacancy over the next 24 hours.
It had been speculated that Redknapp, who left Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season, is keen to hear what Blackburn's owners have to offer him.
However, the veteran coach would only consider taking over at Ewood Park if he were handed a lucrative contract and the promise of transfer funds, according to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway and former Blackburn defender Henning Berg are also thought to be under consideration for the job.
The Championship outfit have been without a manager since Steve Kean opted to resign last month.
