Blackpool draw 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers at Bloomfield Road as Dougie Freedman's side continue their search for a first league win of the season.

Bolton Wanderers have failed to claim their first league win of the season following a 0-0 draw with Blackpool.

Neither side took a backward step in an open first half, with both sets of defenders being put under pressure at Bloomfield Road.

Liam Feeney looked lively on his debut for Bolton and he provided a pass which looked like it would lead to the opening goal, but Jermaine Beckford miscued his effort to allow Matt Gilks to make the save.

Blackpool's Thomas Ince was picking up the ball in dangerous areas but some good defending was forcing the attacking midfielder to try his luck from distance, without success.

Bobby Grant forced Bogdan into a save just before the break with a low effort after creating space inside the box.

Beckford made much better contact with the next chance that came his way just after the break but the striker was left frustrated again when he saw his shot strike the post.

It was the visitors who looked more likely to score the vital goal as the game entered its final stages.

Beckford headed the ball towards the corner in the 82nd minute but Gilks saved and Alex Baptiste couldn't convert the rebound from close range.

Tim Ream unleashed a shot from the edge of the box just moments later but his effort flew over the Blackpool crossbar.

Ince nearly stole a win for the hosts in stoppage time but Bogdan produced the save to deny Blackpool once again.
