Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United.

Peterborough United travel to Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday knowing that three points would move them off the bottom of the Championship table.

Darren Ferguson's side currently occupy 24th position, but victory against the former Premier League outfit would move them out of the relegation zone altogether.

Bolton, meanwhile, currently occupy 15th position following a disappointing campaign. They are seven points clear of the drop zone, but 10 points behind the playoffs, with a mid-table finish seemingly the best that they can hope for.

The Trotters have been fairly solid on their own patch this season with eight wins from 16 matches, losing just three times in the process. However, Peterborough's away form is far from disastrous having taken 16 points from 15 matches.

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman could continue with the side that were 4-1 winners over Hull City at the weekend, but Chris Eagles and David Wheater are both pushing for inclusion.

Peterborough, meanwhile, could call upon Jack Payne in midfield, but the team is expected to remain unchanged from their 2-0 home defeat to Birmingham City.

Recent form:

Bolton: LWDDW
Peterborough: DDWWL

Possible lineups:

Bolton: Bogdan; Alonso, Knight, Dawson, Ricketts; Davies, Spearing, Pratley, Lee; Sordell, Ngog

Peterborough: Olejnik; Zakuani, Ferdinand, Little, Bostwick; McCann, Rowe, Newell, Mendez-Laing; Tomlin, Gayle

Sports Mole says: 1-0
