Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has suggested that Kevin Nolan could return to the club, but admits that financial aspects could prevent a move from going through.
The 33-year-old was reported at the weekend to have opened talks with the Championship club following his release from West Ham United in August.
Nolan spent 10 years playing for the Trotters before leaving the club to join Newcastle United in 2009.
"If he was to come in it would probably have to suit both parties," Lennon told The Bolton News. "I don't know about affordability but I think that would be the main stumbling block more than anything."
Despite reports that the club are in talks with the free agent, Lennon added that he is yet to have contact.
