Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp vents his frustration after defensive errors cost his side in their Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his frustration at the defensive lapses that saw his side concede two goals against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

The Germans twice found themselves behind in the first-leg contest courtesy of two avoidable goals before Mats Hummels's late header secured a 2-2 draw.

"We were punished for a couple of defensive mistakes, which was annoying," BBC Sport quotes Klopp as saying.

"2-1 wouldn't have been a bad result to take back to Dortmund, but the 2-2 was very important for the team's mood before the second leg."

Dortmund fell behind to a Darijo Srna free kick on the half-hour mark before Robert Lewandowski equalised.

Shakhtar looked to have claimed a memorable win when Douglas Costa netted late in the second period but Hummels pounced in the 87th minute to ensure the match ended all square.
