Jurgen Klopp thinks Borussia Dortmund need to hold talks with their fans after a mass protest was staged this weekend over ticket prices.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he understands the reasons behind the fan protests at Borussia Dortmund.

A mass walkout was staged by Dortmund fans during yesterday's 3-2 loss to Hamburg as anger mounts over ticket prices.

Klopp thinks that discussions need to take place between supporters and the club to resolve the situation.

He said: "Who knows what these people endure to be here and support us in the stadium?

"If then 1,000 fans leave the stadium, I guess their concerns are quite big. We all have to be careful, that's clear, not to make things worse, there have to be talks.

"Either [the talks] were of no avail or have not taken place up to now. I can really understand the protest."

Defeat at the hands of Hamburg on Saturday ended the unbeaten record of the reigning Bundesliga champions.
