Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe named Championship Manager of the Year

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe beats Mick McCarthy, Slavisa Jokanovic, and Mark Warburton to the Championship Manager of the Year award.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has been crowned Championship Manager of the Year at the LMA awards.

The Cherries coach beat ex-Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic, Ipswich Town's Mick McCarthy and former Brentford manager Mark Warburton to the prestigious prize after guiding the club to an unlikely league title.

Bournemouth finished one point ahead of Watford to secure a place in the English top flight for the first time in their history and a third promotion under Howe.

Steve Cotterill of Bristol City claimed the top prize in League One after winning the division, while the League Two gong went to Wycombe Wanderers' Gareth Ainsworth, despite his side losing to Southend United in the playoff final.

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson was named FA Cup Manager of the Year after claiming the scalps of Chelsea and Sunderland on the way to the quarter-finals.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed the top prize of LMA Manager of the Year after guiding the Blues to the Premier League title.
