Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe wants team to "impress" fans in final home game

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe tells Sports Mole that he wants the team to "impress" the fans in their final home game of the season.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has called on his players to show supporters what they are "capable of" when they play in their final home game of the Championship season against Bolton Wanderers on Monday night.

It is a tense end to the campaign as just three points separate the top four sides, with Bournemouth currently second, one point behind leaders Watford.

In the penultimate match of the campaign, Howe is hopeful that the team can return to the "high standard" that they set this season following a few nervy moments in recent games.

"We want to leave a good impression with the supporters," Howe told Sports Mole. "I think our home form of late has been good - of course the Sheffield Wednesday game was a draw, but we're 11 games unbeaten.

"Our home form has been, as I say, impressive - we've scored a lot of goals at home of late, so we want to continue that form and show our fans what we're capable of.

"I don't think we've done that to the high standard that we had done previously in the last three or four games, so we want to try to hit those performance levels again. Impress our home supporters - that's our key message for the Bolton game."

Should the Cherries win the their last two games, they will achieve automatic promotion.
