Adam Federici joins Bournemouth

Former Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici joins Bournemouth on a three-year contract.

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Australian goalkeeper Adam Federici.

The 30-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at the Goldsands Stadium following his recent release by Reading, whom he joined a decade ago.

During his time with the Royals, Federici made over 200 appearances, 23 of which came in the Premier League.

"It was difficult to leave Reading because I had been there an extremely long time," he told the club's official website.

"I had a lot of success there and the fans were great for me, but I thought it was time I moved on.

"I'm looking forward to joining something special down here. It's a team I admired last season, watching how they play their football."

Federici is the second keeper to have signed for the Cherries in a matter of days following the arrival of former Southampton and Celtic custodian Artur Boruc.
