Bournemouth have reportedly had a £10m bid for Brentford defender Chris Mepham rejected by the Championship club.
The Wales international came through the ranks at Griffin Park and enjoyed a fruitful debut campaign at senior level last term, making 23 appearances in all competitions.
Mepham, whose contract runs until 2022, was believed to be the target of two Cherries bids in January, both of which were turned down.
According to Sky Sports News, Bournemouth have returned with an improved offer, but the Bees' valuation of the 20-year-old is thought to be higher still.
Mepham made his international debut for Wales earlier this year, coming on as a substitute in the 6-0 win over China in the 2018 China Cup.
