Brazil international David Luiz reveals that he is prepared to play in any position to help his coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Brazil defender David Luiz has revealed he is happy that he can add versatility to his country's squad.

Luiz has been used in several positions for his club side Chelsea, including centre-back and centre-midfield, and the former Benfica player has insisted that he is happy to do the same for his country.

The 26-year-old told AFP: "It's a different string to our bow which Felipe can draw on if the team requires it.

"I am always ready to help the team and I am ready to play anywhere.

"That way, the team can protect the back four a little more and I know the position well."

Luiz is expected to feature when Brazil face Japan in their opening Confederations Cup match on Saturday evening.
