Half-Time Report: Brazil 3-0 Egypt

Half-Time Report: Brazil 3-0 Egypt
Brazil outclass Egypt in the first half of their Olympic opener, taking a 3-0 lead into the break.

Brazil have taken a 3-0 lead into half-time of their opening Olympic match against Egypt in the Millenium Stadium this evening.

The Brazilians took the lead after just 16 minutes when Rafael fired his shot past goalkeeper Ahmed Elshenawi.

This lead was doubled 10 minutes later as Elshenawi was beaten again, this time courtesy of Leandro Damiao.

Brazil looked in rampant form, and further justified their tag as one of the pre-tournament favourites when they went three up after just half an hour, this time Neymar opening his Olympic account.

Brazil continued to look strong, but couldn't add to their tally before the interval, going into the break with an all-but unassailable lead.

Elsewhere in Group C, Belarus are leading New Zealand 1-0. You can see how all the action unfolds live here.
