Philippe Coutinho: 'Brazil can cope without Neymar'

Philippe Coutinho says that he and his Brazil teammates can minimise the importance of losing Neymar, whose four-game ban rules him out of the rest of the Copa America.

Phillipe Coutinho is confident that Brazil have enough quality to survive without "main man" Neymar, who will miss the rest of the Copa America due to a four-match ban.

Neymar was shown a straight red card in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat by Colombia following a brawl with Jeison Murillo - who scored the winning goal - and Carlos Bacca.

Consequently, the 23-year-old will play no further part in the Selecao's campaign, but Coutinho believes that he and his teammates can fill the void.

"Neymar is a great player, our main man, but everyone is prepared and focused on what we want," Coutinho told reporters.

"We lost our main player, but the group is strong. We are focused to overcome the loss of Neymar in the next game."

Dunga's men face Venezuela in their final Group C game on Sunday knowing that defeat could see them exit the competition.
