Brighton & Hove Albion 'keen on Fraizer Campbell'

Newly-promoted Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly considering a move for Crystal Palace's out-of-contract striker Fraizer Campbell.

Brighton & Hove Albion are said to be considering an approach for Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell this summer.

The 29-year-old becomes a free agent next month and is unlikely to be offered a new deal by the Eagles, having been used just 11 times as a substitute in the Premier League this season.

According to Sky Sports News, the former Manchester United and Sunderland forward is "among a number of players" being considered by Seagulls boss Chris Hughton as they prepare for their first season in the top flight in 34 years.

The club have also been linked with ambitious moves for Yaya Toure from Manchester City and Liverpool stalwart Lucas Leiva, although chairman Tony Bloom has vowed not to spend recklessly in the transfer market this summer.

Campbell, who has also been monitored by West Bromwich Albion, has been at Palace since 2014, scoring five times in 42 Premier League appearances.
