Bristol Rovers have climbed to 18th in the League Two table courtesy of a 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town at the Memorial Ground.
The victory was the Pirates' first in four games and it came thanks to John-Joe O'Toole's 13th goal of the season.
O'Toole broke the deadlock on 33 minutes with a crisp left-footed volley from the edge of the penalty area.
The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international went close to doubling his tally just after half time when he headed narrowly over the crossbar following Lee Brown's free kick.
Rovers were good value for their lead, but they received a big let-off midway through the second period. Goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall spilled a long-range effort from Matt Richards, before the muddy surface prevented the rebound falling to Terry Gornell.
Defeat leaves Cheltenham 15th in the table.
