Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed that he would like to bring Kevin Nolan to Turf Moor.
The former Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United man was released by West Ham United earlier this week and has since been linked with moves to Cardiff City and Sunderland.
However, Dyche, who brought in free agent Joey Barton on a one-year deal on Thursday, has admitted that he is also interested in signing the experienced midfielder.
"[Nolan] and Joey are the type that could affect a group, they can lead," he told reporters. "They have played in the Championship, and they have got out of the Championship.
"They have played most of their careers in the top level of football, yet they have come out of that and played with teams who have gone into the top level of football, so there is an understanding of the challenge for both of those players."
Burnley face Bristol City in the Championship this afternoon.
