Saturday's League One predictions including Huddersfield Town vs. Bolton Wanderers

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Huddersfield Town vs. Bolton Wanderers.

Cambridge vs. Mansfield (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Basement side Cambridge United will look to end a seven-game winless league run when they welcome Mansfield Town to the Abbey Stadium on Saturday.

The visitors, who occupy 11th place in League One, will attempt to return to winning ways after losing their last two competitive matches.

We say: Cambridge United 1-2 Mansfield Town

Mansfield have won two of their last three away games, and we think they will enjoy more success on the road when they face a Cambridge side that will be bereft of confidence after losing five of their last six league matches.

Huddersfield vs. Bolton (Saturday, 12.30pm)

In their first outing following the departure of Ian Evatt, Bolton Wanderers will travel the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday to take on Huddersfield Town.

The visitors begin life without their long-serving boss in ninth spot in the League One table, three points outside of the playoff places, while their hosts trail the automatic promotion spots by six points.

We say: Huddersfield Town 2-1 Bolton Wanderers

We are yet to see how Bolton Wanderers will react without Ian Evatt at the helm, but they face a particularly tough test against the division's longest unbeaten streak, and we back Huddersfield Town to take all three points on home turf at the weekend.

Barnsley vs. Stevenage (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both aiming to bounce back from defeats last weekend, Barnsley and Stevenage will square off at Oakwell on Saturday.

The visitors remain fifth in the League One table having enjoyed a quick climb before their recent setback, while their visitors sit 16th in the midst of a three-match winless streak.

We say: Barnsley 2-1 Stevenage

Despite the visitors' midweek victory and the hosts' setback last weekend, Barnsley should have the quality to get over the line at Oakwell and make a swift return to winning ways in their promotion bid.

Burton Albion vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both aiming to build on important wins and climb the League One table, Burton Albion and Rotherham United will do battle at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts moved off the foot of the table with a long-awaited return to winning ways on Tuesday, while their visitors have risen to 13th spot in the midst of a growing unbeaten streak.

We say: Burton Albion 1-2 Rotherham United

Burton Albion should have some much-needed confidence from their return to winning ways on Tuesday, but they face a tough test against a Rotherham United side who finally appear to be making their quality count.

Growing in momentum under Evans, we back the Millers to leave the Pirelli Stadium with three more points on Saturday.

Charlton vs. Shrewsbury (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Shrewsbury Town will be hoping to move out of the drop zone in the League One standings when they head to The Valley to face Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts will be looking forward to returning to their home patch after three successive away games, and a victory here could take them up to eighth place by the end of the weekend.

We say: Charlton Athletic 2-2 Shrewsbury Town

While Shrewsbury still have plenty of work to do to maintain their League One status, they have been on an upward trajectory recently with just one defeat in their last six games, and we feel they may be able to take something from this match as well.

Exeter vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Matchday 28 in the League One campaign brings us a crucial mid-table clash, with Exeter City set to face Blackpool at St James Park on Saturday afternoon.

These sides are separated by just one point and one place in the league standings, with the hosts currently ahead, though they have played a game more than their upcoming opponent.

We say: Exeter City 2-2 Blackpool

While Exeter City have the home advantage in this match, Blackpool have been difficult to beat on the road recently, losing only one of their last six away games since the end of November.

We are expecting a close contest at St James Park on Saturday and feel that these two will end up having to settle for a share of the spoils.

Leyton Orient vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

League One's most in-form team are set to host a 'six-pointer' in the race for promotion when Leyton Orient face Reading at the Gaughan Group Stadium on Saturday.

The O's will be looking to make it 10 league games unbeaten this weekend, while the Royals will be desperate to avoid losing ground on the playoff spots.

We say: Leyton Orient 2-1 Reading

Reading will be desperate to avoid defeat at the very least this weekend and will make the match a close-fought contest.

However, cup game aside, Orient appear to be in unstoppable form at the moment, and may prove too much for the visitors to handle on Saturday.

Lincoln vs. Peterborough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

As Lincoln City look to breathe some life into their mixed season, they are set to face League One's leakiest defence on Saturday when Peterborough United travel to the LNER Stadium.

The Imps come into the clash hoping to have turned a corner after their win last time out, while the Posh are on a three-game unbeaten streak.

We say: Lincoln City 1-2 Peterborough United

Given Peterborough's dire defensive record, Lincoln are likely to score at some point on Saturday.

However, considering the Imps struggled against Northampton, they could be overpowered by the Posh and may find it difficult to recover should they concede more than once.

Stockport vs. Crawley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stockport County play host to Crawley Town on Saturday afternoon looking for the win that will keep the club in the top six of the League One table.

Meanwhile, Crawley make the trip to Edgeley Park sitting five points adrift of safety, albeit with two matches in hand.

We say: Stockport County 3-1 Crawley Town

Although Crawley have avoided defeat in two of their last three games, this is a step up for Elliot's side. With that in mind, we are backing the home team to come through in style and remain on course for the playoffs.

Wigan vs. Bristol Rovers (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wigan Athletic play host to Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon with both clubs bidding to secure a win that would boost their survival hopes.

These two sides sit in 17th and 18th position in the League One table respectively, albeit with the visitors having recorded successive victories.

We say: Wigan Athletic 1-1 Bristol Rovers

On the back of defeat to Burton, Maloney is coming under increasing pressure at the Latics. Nevertheless, we feel that his side will do enough to earn a hard-fought share of the spoils, a result that both teams would settle for in the circumstances.

Wycombe vs. Northampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wycombe Wanderers play host to Northampton Town on Saturday afternoon with an opportunity to strengthen their position in the automatic promotion places.

At a time when the home side sit in second position in the League One table, the visitors to Adams Park are in 20th spot, five points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 Northampton Town

With the uncertainty over Wycombe's managerial position, Northampton will fancy their chances at Adams Park. Nevertheless, we can only back the Chairboys to add another victory to their tally to keep pace with Birmingham in the process.
