After a midtable finish in League One last season, Cambridge United are looking to kick on and push further up the division in a bid to fight for promotion to the Championship.
That journey began at the start of July when they faced recently relegated Watford, picking up a 2-1 victory to start their pre-season in a positive manner.
Mark Bonner's men then followed that up with a defeat against Cardiff City, but they quickly got back on track this past weekend against Notts County.
Cambridge were victorious in the first of two games against them which were played back to back as Sam Smith scored a brace in the first half to secure the result.
That was followed up by another match, with both being played over 70 minutes, and this time it was a 3-2 defeat as two goals from Harvey Knibbs were not enough to secure the result.

For Norwich City, this season will be working as part of their rebuilding process following a difficult campaign in the Premier League that led to relegation.
The Canaries shall be looking for an immediate response and will now be one of the favourites to be promoted, but a positive pre-season is something that will help with that.
Norwich have started well in making that happen as they have played four games and are currently undefeated this summer, with a trio of victories and a draw.
The most recent win took place at the weekend against Marseille, with an impressive 3-0 win being recorded that will help to provide plenty of confidence to the squad.
The Canaries have also kept three clean sheets during pre-season to this point, which after a season where they struggled to do that, is something that fans will have been pleased to see.

Cambridge United were able to field two completely different teams in their most recent outing after playing consecutive 70-minute games, which means Bonner will have plenty of options on Tuesday.
Smith and Knibbs will both be hoping to feature though after they both scored twice across those games as they push towards the new season.
There has been a lack of transfer business so far for Norwich City, and their only signing to this point in Isaac Hayden is out injured, and is not expected back until the start of the season.
Despite that, Dean Smith has plenty of quality he can call upon for this game, with the experience of Tim Krul likely being used in goal, with Todd Cantwell an option in midfield.
We say: Cambridge United 1-2 Norwich City
Norwich City head into this match as the obvious favourites due to their strength in squad depth and the fact that they are fresh from the Premier League, but the hosts have been performing well in pre-season.
Cambridge United are sure to make a game of this, and they will test the visitors, but ultimately the Canaries should secure a victory here.
