Carlisle United have announced that they have sacked manager Graham Kavanagh.
The Cumbrians currently sit 22nd in League Two after failing to win any of their opening five fixtures.
Carlisle were relegated from League One last season under the stewardship of Kavanagh, who was appointed manager in September 2013.
A statement on the club's official website read: "The directors of Carlisle United football club held a series of discussions on Sunday which culminated in a meeting late on Sunday night with team manager Graham Kavanagh.
"Regretfully, it has been decided to dispense with Graham's services after a very difficult and disappointing start to the season."
Carlisle lost 5-0 to Cambridge United on Saturday in Kavanagh's final game in charge.
