Half-Time Report: Celtic in command at Parkhead

Celtic score three unanswered goals during the first half of their Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee United.

First-half goals from Leigh Griffiths, Dedryck Boyata and Kris Commons have given Celtic a comfortable 3-0 lead at the break of their home encounter against Dundee United this afternoon.

Having dominated the opening exchanges, the home side were made to wait until the 24th minute to break the deadlock.

Captain Scott Brown slotted a low pass through for Griffiths, who raced clear and then beat Luis Zwick with his shot from an acute angle.

Ronny Deila's men continued to carve out openings as the half progressed and they went on to double their advantage five minutes before the interval.

Stuart Armstrong swung over a cross which centre-back Boyata rose highest to nod beyond the reach of Zwick.

Then, in first-half stoppage time Kieran Tierney won a penalty, which former Derby County midfielder Commons smashed in to put the Bhoys in control.
