Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino expects Chelsea recovery

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino expects Chelsea to bounce back from their poor start to the season, which sees the Blues placed 15th in the Premier League table.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he expects Chelsea will recover from their poor start to the campaign.

Jose Mourinho's men find themselves languishing in 15th place in the Premier League table, with 14 points from 13 games, but the Argentinean believes that last season's champions will return to winning ways.

"Chelsea have very good players and a great manager," Pochettino told reporters ahead of the London derby.

"It is always difficult to speak about another team because when you are outside that club you do not know what is going on and it is difficult to analyse.

"Sometimes teams have bad results and that can change a very good team. But they have time to recover and come back still this season. They also have extra days to prepare for our match. I am expecting a very tough game because they have very good players."

Blues boss Mourinho stated on Friday that Tottenham's Europa League schedule provides his team with no advantage going into Sunday's showdown.
