Jamie Carragher: Jose Mourinho must stop "embarrassing" interviews

Jamie Carragher urges Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to stop his "embarrassing" post-match interviews to benefit his struggling team.

Jamie Carragher has insisted that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has to end his "embarrassing" post-match interviews.

The Portuguese refused to make any comments to BT Sport following his side's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday, while he has also blasted officials Jon Moss and Bobby Madley in recent weeks for decisions in his side's losses to West Ham United and Southampton.

Carragher believes that Mourinho has to end his attitude towards referees and his bizarre interviews to benefit his struggling side.

"He has to change some things and these interviews have got to stop, because they're embarrassing him and they're embarrassing the club," Carragher told Sky Sports News.

"Maybe he's trying to create a siege mentality but I don't think the players would be totally agreeing with the manager, blaming referees. Chelsea were very poor at the weekend.

"This paranoia has got to stop, that the world is against them because they're not."

Chelsea are 15th in the Premier League after 11 matches this season.
