Jose Mourinho claimed that he had no qualms over handing a senior debut to Ruben Loftus-Cheek in their 3-1 win over Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old came off the bench for Cesc Fabregas inside the final 10 minutes, and the Portuguese coach said that he was not worried about the youngster.
Mourinho told Sky Sports News: "I told him that he needs to bring me a top bottle of red wine!
"He was very confident and he's a good personality, he is not scared to take responsibility on the pitch and we were trying to find the best moment to give him the easy conditions to play.
"Today, he come here for the big stage."
Chelsea topped Group G unbeaten.
