Ramires proud of impact at Chelsea

Ramires reveals his pride at reaching 150 appearances at Chelsea and says that the club feels like home.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has revealed his pride at how he has been able to win a regular first-team spot at the club since joining from Benfica.

The Brazilian arrived at Stamford Bridge from the Portuguese giants in 2010 and made his 150th appearance for the Blues in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United last weekend.

The 28-year-old is pleased to have proved the doubters wrong by securing regular football at the Premier League champions and said that life at the club feels like home.

"I am proud to reach that figure [of 150 league appearances] especially at a top club like Chelsea," the Daily Star quotes him as saying.

"When I arrived here some people said that I would not even play 50 games in a Chelsea shirt. In my mind though I said I can play more than that, and I can help the team for a long time.

"I had the opportunity to come here and the guys in the dressing room received me very well when I arrived here. I just wanted to show my best form in a good team. Now I feel like I am in my home."

Ramires will reportedly be offered a new four-year contract at the club.
