Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel insists that the Reds' former striker Fernando Torres must not score for Chelsea when they face the Blues on Sunday.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has insisted that he will be going out of his way to stop Chelsea striker Fernando Torres from scoring this weekend.

The Reds go up against their former player this Sunday in the highly anticipated Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge.

"Now he is playing for Chelsea and if I play I will be marking him," Skrtel told the club's official website.

"It's going to be special but we have to look after him because even if he isn't scoring goals at the moment he is still one of the best strikers in the world and still dangerous. We have to keep our eye on him for 90 minutes and not let him score."

Torres, who left the Merseyside outfit for £50m in 2011, has netted seven goals for the Blues so far this season but he has yet to find the net against his former club.
