Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur will endeavour to recover from their lowly defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion when they welcome Chelsea to North London for Thursday's derby.

Just three days after being put to the sword by Liverpool, Jose Mourinho witnessed his team lose back-to-back matches as Leandro Trossard scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory for the Seagulls.

The defeat was another blow to a Spurs side who had previously been tipped as title contenders, and they now find themselves six points adrift of the Champions League places alongside their midweek opponents Chelsea.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's derby.

Tanguy Ndombele

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: Unknown

The resurgent Tanguy Ndombele lasted 74 minutes against Brighton before limping off with an unspecified injury. The extent of the midfielder's problem is currently unclear, but he is thought to have a good chance of featuring here regardless.

Sergio Reguilon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: February 21 (vs. West Ham United)

Sergio Reguilon's fast start to life at Tottenham was cut short by a muscular problem, and Mourinho has conceded that the left-back will likely remain sidelined for another three weeks.

Harry Kane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Manchester City)

Talismanic striker Harry Kane was forced off against Liverpool after suffering injuries to both ankles. There were initial fears that the England captain would miss up to a month, but he could supposedly return in time to face Manchester City on February 13.

Dele Alli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Tendon
Possible return date: Unknown

Dele Alli is currently sidelined with a tendon problem and is not expected to play a part against Chelsea, but it would have been a surprise to see the out-of-favour Englishman start anyway.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since December, and Spurs have placed no timeframe on his return to action, so he is expected to miss out here.

Serge Aurier

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: February 4 (vs. Chelsea)

Serge Aurier missed out against Chelsea due to an apparent knock, but reports have speculated that the defender was left at home after storming out of the stadium at half time against Liverpool, and his involvement against Chelsea is uncertain.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this London derby.
