Chelsea are reportedly one of a number of clubs who are contemplating an approach for Villarreal defender Alfonso Pedraza.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Villarreal defender Alfonso Pedraza as a potential summer addition.

The Blues are currently well stocked at left-back with Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri all options for head coach Thomas Tuchel.

However, Alonso and Palmieri may depart Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, potentially freeing up a space in the Blues' first-team squad.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are taking an interest in Pedraza, who is said to have a £35m release clause in his contract.

The 25-year-old, a former loanee with Leeds United, has made 38 appearances for Villarreal in all competitions this season.

Barcelona and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring the situation of a player who only penned a new contract in September.
