Chelsea prepared to reconsider deal for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell?

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to reconsider a deal for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell if the left-back does not pass a medical on Monday.

Chelsea will reportedly wait until further medical checks on Monday before making a decision over the signing of Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.

With Frank Lampard looking to make changes at left-back, Chilwell is on the brink of a big-money switch to Stamford Bridge.

However, despite an announcement said to be imminent, The Sun claims that the England international must first come through a further medical with a specialist on Monday.

At a time when he is continuing to recover from a heel injury, there are allegedly concerns that the 23-year-old could be sidelined for another six weeks.

If that proves to be the case, the report says that Chelsea may have second thoughts about finalising a £50m deal for the player.

Chilwell was ruled out of Leicester's final five Premier League games of the most recent campaign due to the same issue.
