Chelsea 'set for deadline-day clearout'

Chelsea may be willing to offload Marcos Alonso, Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek before the transfer window closes next Monday, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly looking to ship out three more players before the transfer window closes next Monday.

The Blues have been heavily active in the market and have welcomed a host of big-name signings to Stamford Bridge over the summer, including Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy.

With Frank Lampard seemingly now focused on offloading players before the deadline, the Daily Star reports that a trio of players at Stamford Bridge could be heading for the exit door within the next few days.

Marcos Alonso's future has been shrouded in uncertainty since Chilwell arrived in the capital, and the report claims that the Spaniard is almost certain to depart.

Fellow defender Antonio Rudiger has found himself out of Lampard's squad recently and questions have naturally been raised over his future, with the Germany international being linked with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

Finally, Lampard has admitted that midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek may be allowed to leave on loan in order to get more playing time.
