Chelsea manager Antonio Conte refuses to comment on speculation that he has fallen out with defender David Luiz.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to be drawn on speculation that he has fallen out with defender David Luiz.

The Brazilian was surprisingly dropped from Conte's matchday squad for the 1-0 victory over Manchester United just before the international break, with rumours suggesting that the pair had clashed over the Italian's tactics.

The situation has led to reports that United boss Jose Mourinho could make a move for Luiz in the January transfer window, but Conte would not comment on the situation at his press conference today.

"It was a technical decision [to drop Luiz] and every single player has to react well and accept my decision. It's normal," he said.

"I think that I sit here to speak for the team before an important game against West Bromwich and not to speak about a single player because I don't like that. I like to speak about the team and the next game. I think this is the most important thing."

Conte went on to confirm that Luiz is back in the squad for the Blues' trip to The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
