Ipswich Town target Leeds United's Noel Hunt, end interest in Chelsea's John Swift?

Ipswich Town are said to be interested in a loan move for out-of-favour Leeds United forward Noel Hunt, which would reportedly end any interest in Chelsea's John Swift.

Ipswich Town have reportedly closed in on the loan signing of Leeds United forward Noel Hunt.

The 31-year-old, whose brother Stephen is already at Ipswich, played the first two games of the season for Leeds back in August, but hasn't featured for the Whites since.

Hunt made 19 Championship appearances last season for the Elland Road side, failing to score once.

With the emergency loan window closing tomorrow, Ipswich are keen on bringing in Hunt as cover for the injured Jonathan Williams and Kevin Bru, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

It was also reported earlier today that Blues boss Mick McCarthy was eyeing a loan move for Chelsea teenager John Swift, but the emergence of Hunt as a potential target could see that move extinguished.

The 19-year-old had been training with Ipswich this week with a loan move in mind, but that seems unlikely now with Hunt closing in on a move to Suffolk.
