Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he isn't aware of goalkeeper Petr Cech being given permission to speak to other clubs regarding a potential transfer in the summer.
Cech has spent much of the 2014-15 campaign on the bench after being relegated to second-choice stopper behind Thibaut Courtois, which has resulted in a number of teams being linked with his signature.
His agent, Viktor Kolar, has claimed that the Czech goalkeeper can speak to potential suitors, but Mourinho has revealed that he still holds hope of retaining the services of a player who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2004.
The 52-year-old told reporters: "I don't know if it's true what the agent is saying, maybe it is, but Chelsea have an important say in the decision.
"I keep saying the same, I want my best players. Petr is one of my best, I would like him to stay. I have to say yes, I am optimistic that he can be here next year."
Cech has made 15 appearances for the Blues in all competitions during the current campaign.
