Everton manager David Moyes reveals that he knew about Eden Hazard years ago but did not have the funds to sign him.

Everton boss David Moyes has admitted that he missed out on signing Eden Hazard a few years ago, before he moved to Chelsea.

Moyes said that he was well aware of the Belgian youngster but did not have the funds to complete the deal.

"We knew all about Hazard because of Marouane Fellaini and the Belgium boys," said Moyes. "But it was always going to be big cash for us - and we've had a few like that I can tell you."

Moyes will have to find a way to stop the Belgian international when he lines up against his side at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Everton against Chelsea kicks off at 1.30pm today.
