Report: Loic Remy close to finalising Crystal Palace loan switch

A report claims that Loic Remy will swap Chelsea for London rivals Crystal Palace on a season-long loan, having so far failed to play a single minute under Antonio Conte.

Chelsea will allow striker Loic Remy to join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season, according to a report.

The 29-year-old has so far been overlooked by new boss Antonio Conte this season, even failing to make an appearance in the EFL Cup meeting with Bristol Rovers last week.

It is claimed by Sky Sports News that Remy is to be granted a move away from Stamford Bridge, with Palace the side to have won the race for his signature despite strong interest from West Ham United.

Palace boss Alan Pardew admitted after the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday that another arrival was imminent, following in the steps of Christian Benteke, telling reporters: "We are close to someone.

"We are hoping to get over that one over the line and we are still looking at bringing in two or three more."

Remy, a £10.5m signing from Queens Park Rangers in August 2014, made 20 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season.
