Report: Valencia willing to pay £18m for Romelu Lukaku

Valencia will reportedly offer £18m to secure Romelu Lukaku's services this summer.

Valencia have reportedly joined the race to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku by indicating that they would be willing to pay £18m to secure his services.

Lukaku is believed to be a target for a number of clubs this summer after impressing for Everton during a season-long loan spell at Goodison Park.

According to The Mirror, Valencia have made their interest known to Chelsea, but a deal is yet to be agreed between the two clubs.

Atletico Madrid are reported to be eager to take the Belgian to the Spanish capital on loan after reports on Wednesday suggested that Diego Costa's proposed move to Stamford Bridge was edging closer.

Lukaku, who is currently preparing for the World Cup with Belgium, could be used by Chelsea as part of a deal to sign Atletico defender Filipe Luis.
