Oriol Romeu hopes for Barcelona return

Oriol Romeu wants to return to Barcelona in the future.

New Chelsea signing Oriol Romeu has revealed that he would like to return to Barcelona one day.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Blues from Barca on Thursday for a fee of £4.36m.

The Catalan club have secured the option to re-sign the player as part of the deal, a prospect which Romeu has refused to rule out.

"You never know what can happen in the future, I will always support Barca and I hope someday I can return there," said the Spain under-20 international.

"But right now, what I want is to succeed at Chelsea and be fine there."

Barcelona's buy-back clause will allow them to re-sign Romeu for £8.7m next summer or £13.1m the summer after.
