Valencia want to send flop striker Michy Batshuayi back to Chelsea?

Michy Batshuayi is to return to Chelsea early from his Valencia loan after netting just three times in 20 appearances, according to a report.

Valencia reportedly want to get rid of Michy Batshuayi in the New Year due to the Chelsea loanee's loss of form.

Despite impressing during a stint with Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season, Batshuayi was instantly sent to Valencia for the duration of 2018-19.

The 25-year-old has scored just three times in 20 appearances for the La Liga strugglers in the first half of the campaign, however, and Marca suggests that the club intend to offload him next month.

Batshuayi, who has four goals in as many games for Belgium this season, last found the net at club level against Celta Vigo in September.

Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are rumoured to be interested in snapping up Batshuayi, with boss Thierry Henry having worked with the striker as part of his previous involvement with the Belgian national side.
