Half-Time Report: Chesterfield lead 10-man Bury

Gary Roberts's sixth goal of the season gives Chesterfield a 1-0 half-time lead over Bury, who lose winger Danny Mayor to ill discipline at the Proact Stadium.

Chesterfield are on course to extend their unbeaten run to six games.

The Spireites lead 10-man Bury 1-0 at half time in this afternoon's League Two clash at the Proact Stadium.

Gary Roberts fired the hosts in front on 16 minutes, notching his sixth goal of the season.

The hosts have been the much better side so far and have frustrated their opponents. That frustration appeared to boil over in stoppage time when Bury winger Danny Mayor was shown a straight red for a horrific challenge on Matty Brown near the halfway line.

Chesterfield will go top of the table today if they claim three points, Scunthorpe United lose and Burton Albion fail to win.
