Tuesday's Championship predictions including Coventry vs. Blackburn Rovers

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Coventry vs. Blackburn Rovers.

Coventry vs. Blackburn (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Blackburn Rovers head into their fixture with Coventry City on Tuesday evening looking to record their fifth successive victory in the Championship.

At a time when Rovers occupy second spot in the standings, Coventry sit in the relegation after their four-game unbeaten run came to an end at the weekend.

We say: Coventry City 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

Despite the contrasting league positions, it would be naive to reach the conclusion that Coventry will not push Blackburn all the way in this contest. Nevertheless, despite the Sky Blues having the potential to get back to winning ways, we can only back Blackburn to come through in a closely-fought match.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Hull City vs. Middlesbrough (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Hull City welcome Middlesbrough to the MKM Stadium in Championship action on Tuesday evening.

The two sides are separated by just three points, with Hull 18th on 20 points, and Boro three places lower in 21st on 17 points at this stage.

We say: Hull City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Neither side is in particularly good form at the moment, and for that reason we think this one will finish up as a draw. With Hull so far being unable to keep a clean sheet at home, and Middlesbrough also being frail defensively, both sides are likely to score.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Luton vs. Reading (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Luton Town host Reading in the Championship on Tuesday night, with both teams knowing a win could take them level on points with the playoff zone when all the midweek fixtures have been played.

Nathan Jones's men drew with Sunderland last time out, whereas Reading conceded late on against Burnley to leave Turf Moor empty-handed on Saturday afternoon.

We say: Luton Town 2-0 Reading

Luton felt that they had dropped two points when Sunderland scored a late equaliser on the weekend and they will now be keen to record a victory in front of their home fans for only the third time this season.

Reading have struggled to score goals on the road and after a physically-taxing fixture against Burnley on Saturday, an energetic Hatters side might have too much for them in this one.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Preston vs. Swansea (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two of the Championship's playoff hopefuls meet at Deepdale on Tuesday night as Preston North End host Swansea City under the lights in Lancashire.

Swansea City will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games in the second tier, whereas Preston will be hoping for a repeat of home victory last time out which came at the expense of Michael Carrick's Middlesbrough.

We say: Preston North End 1-2 Swansea City

Preston North End need to find consistency if they are to mount a promotion challenge this season and games at Deepdale are the type that Lowe's men need to be picking up three points in more regularly.

Swansea are in great form and the likely inclusions of Ntcham and Piroe in their starting XI should fire Martin's side to all three points on Tuesday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Bristol City vs. Sheff Utd (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Promotion hopefuls Sheffield United will be searching for back-to-back victories when they travel to face Bristol City at Ashton Gate in the Championship on Tuesday night.

Paul Heckingbottom's men secured their first win in seven against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, whereas Bristol were held at home by Swansea City, leaving them two games without a victory.

We say: Bristol City 1-2 Sheffield United

Sheffield United have been struggling of late but with their strikers back in amongst the goals last time out, it is not hard to envisage the Blades going on a good run of form before the World Cup break.

Bristol City had to work hard without the ball to keep Swansea at bay on Saturday and another tough defensive assignment against Heckingbottom's side could prove too much.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

West Brom vs. Blackpool (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Blackpool boss Michael Appleton on August 16, 2022© Reuters

West Bromwich Albion play host to Blackpool on Tuesday evening looking for the win which may move the Baggies off the bottom of the Championship standings.

Meanwhile, Blackpool return to the Midlands just three days after defeating Coventry City, a result which moved the Seaisders five points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Blackpool

In front of a home crowd for the second time in quick succession, Corberan knows that he is under pressure to deliver a result. However, Blackpool are playing with a freedom which makes them a threat to anyone in the division, leading us to predict a narrow win for the visitors.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
