Brentford score either side of half time to win 2-0 against Coventry City at the Sixfields Stadium.

Brentford scored either side of half time to beat Coventry City 2-0 and go 10th in the League One table.

Adam Barton came close for the home side in the 10th minute, but his low drive fizzed wide of the far post.

Brentford took the lead in the 22nd minute when Martin Fillo teed up Clayton Donaldson to sweep the ball home with his left foot.

Leon Clarke came close to levelling for the hosts after the break, but Richard Lee saved well at his near post.

Brentford doubled their tally in the 68th minute when Martin Taylor nodded home from Sam Saunders's deep cross, and the away side held on to secure a comfortable victory.
