Adlene Guedioura: 'Return was bittersweet'

Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura admits that his comeback from injury was bittersweet following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura has admitted that his return from injury was bittersweet following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Algerian came off the bench at White Hart Lane after spending two months on the sidelines with two broken ribs.

Despite being pleased with his comeback, Guedioura was disappointed with the result as Palace suffered a second loss in three games.

"I'm really sad because we've lost the game and we deserved more, but personally I'm really happy to come back into the team and get some minutes," he told the club's official website.

"Hopefully I can get a few more games, get back to full fitness and try to help Palace stay up this season."

Palace resume their Premier League campaign this weekend when they welcome Stoke City to Selhurst Park.
